Refill for Eco portable water filter

Ultra-compact water filter for camping. The refill pack comes with 3x polypropylene (PP) filters and a filter cartridge with nanofilter and activated carbon. Together, the filters form a safe barrier against bacteria, parasites, particles etc. from the water source.

Using the Eco Portable Water Filter
Eco Portable should only be used to filter water from streams, rivers, lakes and other natural fresh water sources. It is important for the filter's lifespan to use the cleanest water available. When disassembling Eco Portable, please ensure that there is no damage to the filter housing and filter parts. If the parts are damaged, do not use them, but replace them with new ones. The first sip of water from a new filter may have an off-taste and should therefore not be drunk. If the water flow is reduced, one or more of the filters may be clogged; clean/rinse the pre-filter, PP filter and nanofilter (located in the filter cartridge).
If the PP filter element is particularly dirty and cannot be cleaned, it must be replaced to avoid clogging or bacterial growth. If it is difficult to filter water through the Eco Portable (after cleaning the filters), or if a special bad smell is experienced, this means that the filter elements have lost their full effect and/or are contaminated. All filter elements must then be replaced with new ones to ensure clean and safe water. The filter life is up to 1000 liters, depending on the water quality. If the Eco Portable is used on trips over several days, it is recommended to take the filter apart and clean/dry the parts along the way. It may also be a good idea to bring an extra filter cartridge on longer trips. If low-quality water is used, the filters may need to be changed more frequently.

Storing the Eco Portable Water Filter
For long-term storage and after use, the Eco Portable must be prepared for storage. This is to prevent the growth of bad odors, bacteria and mold. All filter parts must be completely dry when put away for storage. Open the portable filter and remove all filter elements. Open and remove the nano filter from the filter cartridge. Remove the PP filter. Also make sure that the hoses are dried. The water tank can be washed and rinsed with a suitable cleaning agent. Rinse all filter parts with clean water. Let all parts air dry. When the elements are dry, they can be put away for storage. Check for damage and whether any parts need to be replaced; such as the PP filter element.
